The True Color of Love is a joyful, heart-centered solo circus-theater performance about Coicoi, a curious girl who breaks free from the world of screens—video games, phones, and nonstop distractions—and heads into nature to find the true color of love.
Through circus skills, physical theater, storytelling, comedy, music, and playful audience participation, children and families are invited into a magical experience filled with laughter, imagination, and meaningful reflection.
Inspired by a story by Colombian storyteller Fernando Cárdenas and adapted for the stage by Carolina Duncan, the show is designed to be accessible, inclusive, and deeply engaging for young audiences.
Created especially for libraries and schools, the performance works beautifully in open, flexible spaces, requires no stage, and encourages positive, respectful interaction from the audience.

Ages: 5+ (great for mixed-age families and elementary grades)
Length: 40–45 minutes
Format: Interactive solo circus-theater performance
Space Needed: Open area approximately 15 × 15 ft
Audience Size: Flexible
The True Color of Love aligns beautifully with Summer Reading themes focused on curiosity, imagination, emotional growth, and connection to the natural world.
The show encourages children to step away from screens, engage their bodies and imaginations, and rediscover learning through play, storytelling, and creative movement—making it an ideal fit for library summer programming.
Designed for mixed-age audiences, the performance supports early literacy, social-emotional learning, and joyful participation, while remaining easy for libraries to host in open, flexible spaces.
